Thank you for honoring my Father, James Clifton Williams, as we approach what would have been his 100th birthday. My sister, Sarah, and I enjoyed this lovely tribute very much. Helen and Sarah,

I was introduced to your father's work as a junior high student when our band programmed "Variation Overture" for contest. "Dedicatory Overture" was another of my favorites. This was indeed a wonderful, and well-deserved, tribute to one of band music's finest composers.
