On this episode of Wind & Rhythm, we celebrate the 111th birthday of composer Alan Hovhaness; a pivotal composer fusing eastern and western musical traditions. He was a “spiritual minimalist", and we’ll hear his Symphonies 4 and 53, as well as, “Prayer of St. Gregory” right here, at the gathering place for people who love band music.

bass clarinet players, you've just got to hear and enjoy the beginning of Hovhaness Symp. 4 1st movement !! sand if your best friend plays percussion then this is heaven!
