Here in the United States during the 1800's there was a belief that American settlers were destined to expand throughout the continent. They called this policy “manifest destiny” and no matter how you feel about the expansion of our settlers to the great wild west, it really happened. Horace Greeley coined the phrase “Go West Young Man,” and this week at the gathering place for people who love band music we’ll hear music that explores that fascinating time of our history.
